Terms of Service

Welcome to Rivals. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rivals, including our website, mobile applications and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using Rivals, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Rivals.

Rivals is operated by:

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rivals.

By creating an account you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• The information you provide is accurate
• You will keep your account information up to date

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

Rivals is a social platform that allows users to organise, participate in and record friendly competitions with friends. Rivals provides tools to:

• Create competitions
• Invite participants
• Record standings
• Upload evidence
• Track results and celebrate achievements
• Communicate with participants

Rivals is a platform only.

Rivals is not:

• A bookmaker, gambling operator or betting exchange
• A payment provider, escrow service, bank or financial institution
• An arbitrator, referee or guarantor of competitions

Rivals does not verify competition outcomes, guarantee prizes, enforce forfeits, or resolve disputes between users.

Users are solely responsible for:

• Creating competitions and agreeing rules
• Determining winners and recording results
• Paying prizes, buy-ins and completing forfeits
• Complying with applicable laws

Any agreements between participants exist solely between those participants. Weekday Ventures FZCO is not a party to those agreements.

Users may choose to organise competitions involving prizes, rewards, forfeits, buy-ins or other agreed outcomes.

Rivals does not:

• Collect, hold or distribute money
• Guarantee payments or enforce payment
• Verify prizes or guarantee rewards

All financial arrangements are made entirely between users.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure
• Maintaining accurate information
• All activity on your account

You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may submit content including:

• Photos, screenshots and text
• Competition rules and comments
• Profile information and competition evidence

You retain ownership of your content.

However, by uploading content you grant Rivals a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host it, display it, reproduce it, modify it where necessary, distribute it, and use it for operating and improving the Service.

This licence ends when your content is deleted, except where copies remain in backups or where content forms part of competition history involving other users.

You agree not to:

• Break the law or impersonate another person
• Harass, threaten or bully others
• Upload illegal content or copyrighted material without permission
• Upload malicious software or attempt to hack Rivals
• Scrape Rivals or interfere with our systems
• Spam users or create fake accounts
• Manipulate competitions dishonestly, exploit bugs or abuse the Service

Competitions should be conducted honestly. Users must not:

• Knowingly submit false results
• Manipulate standings or impersonate participants
• Fabricate evidence or cheat other users

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts where dishonest behaviour is suspected.

Users must not organise competitions involving:

• Illegal activities or unlawful gambling
• Violence, self-harm, hate speech or discrimination
• Illegal drugs or criminal conduct
• Dangerous behaviour or activities that violate applicable laws

We reserve the right to remove any competition at our sole discretion.

All Rivals software, branding, trademarks, logos, graphics and content are owned by Weekday Ventures FZCO or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, reproduce, distribute, sell, license or modify any part of Rivals except where permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:

• These Terms are breached
• We suspect fraud or illegal activity
• Your behaviour harms other users
• Your use creates legal risk
• We are required by law

We may remove competitions or content without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

We aim to keep Rivals available at all times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Rivals may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• Maintenance and upgrades
• Technical failures
• Security incidents
• Events outside our control

We may introduce:

• Subscriptions, premium features, advertisements and sponsorships
• Verified profiles, tournaments and additional competition types
• New products and services

Some features may be subject to additional terms.

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Rivals you agree to the Privacy Policy.

Rivals may integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, websites, services or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

Rivals is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding:

• Uninterrupted availability, accuracy or reliability
• Suitability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Competition outcomes, user conduct, prize payments, forfeits or buy-ins

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weekday Ventures FZCO and its directors, employees, contractors and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Indirect or consequential loss
• Loss of profits, goodwill or opportunity
• Loss arising from competitions
• Unpaid prizes, unpaid buy-ins or uncompleted forfeits
• User disputes, inaccurate competition results or user-generated content
• Third-party actions

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Weekday Ventures FZCO, its officers, employees and affiliates from claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses arising from:

• Your use of Rivals, your competitions and your content
• Your breach of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable law

We may add features, remove features, redesign Rivals, discontinue features or modify functionality at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are significant we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Your continued use of Rivals after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your country of residence.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
